RIDES
Bentonville boasts three trails systems: Slaughter Pen and Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and Hand Cut Hollow - with three more accessible by the Razorback Regional Greenway: The Back 40, Blowing Springs, and Little Sugar, located in Bella Vista.
I have spent countless hours riding and re-riding these routes to fine tune them for every combination of XC, climbs, flow, tech, jumps, drops, berms, and gnar routes you are looking for.

COFFEE & Cafes
📍Airship Coffee
I like Airship because they have a couple of locations and each one is different layout but the same relaxed vibe, good coffee, and food. To get started, their latte and savory scone is really popular or if I really need the carbs - it's chocolate chunk cookie. Which is also great after the ride too!
Airship Coffee at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve - check them out mid-ride at Coler
Airship Coffee at the Pumphouse - just off the Zepplin Trail by Slaugher Pen (Zepplin, Airship - get it?!)
Airship at 5th Street - in the office park but there will be plenty of bikes and riders around
Airship Coffee at The Ledger - fancy office building - local tip: you can ride up three stories to the roof on a ramp that circles the building.
📍Meteor Cafe Switch it up and grab a coffee and breakfast burrito here. They are also good for lunch, pre-ride or post-ride, the sourdough Mediterrean-ish pizza (their description) is a great option too, or just hang out- it's a combination bike shop and cafe. The food and the vibe keep me coming back.

FOOD & BREWS
📍Azul Tequila Mexican Cuisine (or Bistro - downtown location) Hit whichever is closer to you. I like the carne asada street tacos but you really can't go wrong. Pair it with a cold maragarita, or Corona, if that's your thing.
📍The Pedaler's Pub Don't be fooled by the non-descript outside. The vibe is on the inside. Go with the Fixie, it's a pepperoni and portabello mushroom pizza on a plum tomato base. Really, any pizza here is a must. 📍Wright's BBQ My all-time favorite BBQ. They have everything: brisket, pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, and smoked turkey. Go for the brisket plate with green beans + mac & cheese. Bonus round: Loaded Mac (mac & cheese topped with pulled pork - only if you're extra hungry.
👉Local tip: these spots get packed. Save time and order takeout to skip the wait.

Places to STAYS
Bentonville’s has plenty of rider-friendly options, from boutique hotels to bike-in Airbnbs, to budget camping and vanlife.
📍Airbnb This is a no brainer, but there are plenty of Air BnB's that cater to the mountain bike crowd. Many hosts are riders themselves, with secure bike storage and wash stations.
Hotel - Premium 📍 21c Museum Hotel
Hotel Premiumn A boutique hotel-meets-art museum in downtown Bentonville. Expect luxury rooms, curated art, while still being bike friendly.
Hotel Mid-range 📍The Bike Inn comfortable, and just minutes from Slaughter Pen and Coler, they are bike-friendly and reliable base without breaking the bank. Plenty more stand chain options south of town at the intersection of Highway 49 and 718. These are still a easy drive to all the best food recommendations and the trailheads. Camping 📍Blowing Springs Park Campground located in nearby Bella Vista, this campground connects directly to the Back 40 Trail system. Tent sites, RV hookups, and shower facilities make it a budget-friendly, trailhead-access option.
📍Overnight vans The Bike Inn & Coler MTB Preserve Campground Only a few overnight parking spots are available for vans at Coler and Bike Inn. They go fast. Book early or try during the week. [More recommendations in the app]
